“Our state needs strong, principled leadership that puts the interests of Texans first and respects their values. As a conservative standing for House District 86, I will do the work in Austin to ensure fiscal responsibility, safeguard rural communities, elevate education, and protect Texas children.”

Jamie Haynes

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

In the past two legislative sessions, the Texas state budget has grown by more than 40%. Despite a $23.76 billion surplus last session, representing an overcollection of taxes, less than half was returned to taxpayers. We must prioritize fiscal responsibility and rein in excessive spending in the Texas House of Representatives.

SAFEGUARD RURAL COMMUNITIES

We need a strong advocate for rural communities in the Texas Legislature. It’s critical to halt unfunded mandates and empower local governments, which are more in tune with their communities’ needs. The values of Austin don’t reflect those of the Panhandle. We must preserve our way of life.

ELEVATE EDUCATION

All Texas children deserve the very best our state has to offer supported by well-equipped educators and engaged parents. We must return to the basics. This means prioritizing solid instruction, ensuring resources directly reach students and teachers, respecting parental involvement/rights, and supporting strong families so learning can thrive.

PROTECT TEXAS CHILDREN

Protecting childhood innocence must remain a priority along with ensuring harmful materials are not found in our libraries and schools.
